The Vania Hot Tail Hopper fishing fly is designed to imitate a grasshopper, a prey item that often attracts large fish. This dry fly has a vivid coloured body with detailed patterns that mimic a real grasshopper. The long, flexible legs and distinct wings create a realistic silhouette on the water surface that easily catches the fish’s attention. The warm, orange tail provides extra visual appeal, especially in sunny conditions. When the fish see this fly, they will perceive it as easy prey, triggering an immediate hunting reaction. The Vania Flying Hopper Hot Tail Green is ideal for use in rivers and lakes, especially in late summer when grasshoppers are most active.

Hot Tail flies have a signal colored back. This is often the trigger effect that makes the fish unable to resist this particular fly. A number of insects in the wild have this effect, especially fireflies which are also found in Norway.
